I managed to buy a number of Flip Dot panels a few years ago, and decided to make these into Clocks. The panels are hanover brand and came out of UK bus destination displays. The first job was to figure out how these panels worked and how to control them electronically. I spent a considerable amount of time, reverse engineering the board, looking at the logic chips and working out what connected to where.
